Our mission is simple…
to give you the knowledge and advice you need to make informed career decisions
We understand that considering a new career is a daunting experience. The decisions you make can have a significant impact on your life. That’s why we believe it’s important to be armed with as much information and guidance as possible, so that the decisions you make will bring you success.
All of the information we collate comes from you – either the results of psychometric tests, responses to questionnaires or your reflections in a one-to-one consultation with a careers expert. We don’t use automatic formulas or algorithms – we take the time to review your results and listen to your preferences, so that we can give you honest, credible and personal advice.
Whether you’re a young person making the first steps in your career, or an experienced professional considering a change of career path, we give you the guidance you need to ensure the decision you make has a positive impact on your life.
“Sean seemed to know more about me than I knew about myself! The report contained loads of really useful advice which I‘m sure will help me find a career that allows me a better work-life balance.” Sarah | Experienced Professional
“The online questionnaires didn’t take long to complete but I discovered things about myself that I never expected. Sean took time to really understand my position and gave relevant advice that made a massive difference in my job search.” Grace | Emerging Talent
“After 9 months being out of work, following redundancy I got an exciting role in a completely new industry just three weeks after receiving my report. I only wish I’d come to Insight Edge sooner” Mike | Experienced Professional
Making career decisions
The key to our success rate is the level of information we gather from you and our ability to translate it into useful, practical advice. We don’t make assumptions or compare you to anyone else; we use a range of methods to complete a comprehensive personal assessment of your career options and give you individual, tailored advice.
So, how does it work?
Step one: Aptitudes
The evaluation starts with a range of psychometric tests, completed online, which enable us to complete an in-depth analysis of your aptitudes – your natural ability to do certain types of work.
Step two: Personality
You then complete an online questionnaire that assesses your natural personality traits, which allows us to analyse which roles or careers are best suited to your character.
Step three: Interests
Next there is an occupational interests’ questionnaire, also completed online. The results of this allow us to compare the types of roles that you might be good at, with the ones that interest you.
Step four: One-to-one
The final element of information gathering is a one-to-one interview with a careers expert where we will discuss your values and motivating factors that affect your career choices.
Step five: Evaluation
Following the consultation, your careers expert will evaluate all of the information that’s been gathered to produce a personalised career report. They will use their knowledge and experience to interpret all of the information and produce a series of realistic, tangible options, tailored to you and your current situation.

Emerging Talent
We understand that it’s incredibly daunting having to make choices about university courses or your first steps into the working world at such an early stage in your life. You haven’t had time to fully understand the huge number of options available to you, but the decisions you make now can greatly influence your success later in life.
Do any of these questions sound familiar?
- Is university right for me?
- Would I be better off going straight into the working world or completing an apprenticeship?
- I’m not enjoying my A-Levels, what do I do next?
- Which degree would give me the best career prospects?
- I’ve finished university but what career do I choose?
- Would professional qualifications be a good idea for me?
- I’m in my first job but I hate it, what else it out there for me?
Experienced Professional
Taking a completely new career path can be a really daunting experience – you’ve built up experience in an area that you know well, but you think it might be time for a change. The big question is – if you take the leap outside of your comfort zone, how do you know if you’ll succeed in a new sector, or whether you’ll enjoy it?
Does one of these sound like you?
- I’m bored and frustrated. I want to try something completely different.
- I’ve been made redundant and this is an opportunity to try something new.
- I need to find something with a better work-life balance.
- I’m ready to return to work after having a child and want to use it as an opportunity to do something different.
- I’ve been unemployed for a while now, maybe I’m not suited to the roles I’m applying for.
- I’ve been successful and I’m financially stable, so I want to try something that I’ll enjoy more.
